Hem passes the entrance eligibility test to get an admission in GIR. His girlfriend Uma is afraid that Hem's talents will drive them apart. She suggests formalizing their relationship. In order to anchor Hem, his father agrees to get him engaged. However Uma's father rejects their proposal.

Hem reaches the institute & shares a hostel room with a beautiful German woman. They get along well. Hem meets Dr. Parimal who guides him to choose his research subject. The semester flies by. During the break German girl joins Hem to Patan. She likes Hem's family & gets flabbergasted to know about their traditions.

Hem discloses how he lost his girlfriend just because he is a weaver. German girl sees his point & assures him she won't judge. However she is interested in knowing more about Patola. Bipin Bhai takes the responsibility to show her around & let her know about their great family heritage.

Bipin Bhai expects Hem to join their weaving business after passing of his cousin to keep their legacy alive. Hem understands his sentiments but he chooses to return to the institute. He goes all out & completes his ground-breaking research in Robotics.

Hem crashes at a crucial moment during a ceremony. Bindu gets married. Bipin bhai accepts the fate of their legacy. He asks Hem to upload Bindu's photo as the last Patola ever woven. Hem surprises everyone by announcing a surprise.
