Moonshiners: American Spirit (2022 - 2023)

Tim and Tickle head to Kentucky to investigate the legend behind Elijah Craig's invention of bourbon whiskey in 1789. Sourcing old-school ingredients and equipment, they attempt to become the first in two centuries to taste America's original bourbon.

Tim and Howard trek to Philadelphia in search of Ben Franklin's 250-year-old recipe for spruce beer prized by George Washington's troops. But when Tim enlists Tickle's help to distil it, they re-discover a spirit that may have been lost to time.

Tim and Tickle head to Chicago in search of Al Capone's lost Prohibition gin. As Howard builds a prohibition-era pot still and barters for a 1920s clawfoot bathtub, the three shiners start a run hoping to taste the lost spirit a century after its heyday.

When Tim and Howard arrive in Boston in search of colonial rum, they uncover the spirit that inspired America's original bootleggers, outlaw liquor men and patriots. With help from Tickle, they recreate the recipe that was a favourite of Paul Revere.
